Our Next Auditions: Cinderella
Auditions for our next show will be held on the 7th, 14th and 21st September
Why not get involved, we always looking for enthusiastic and talented individuals to join our group whether in a principle part, a member of the chorus line, production team or back stage crew
We are busy preparing for our Pantomime Cinderella which will be staged in January. The story, of course should need no explaining. With a fairy godmother, handsome prince, ugly sisters, wicked step-mother, Cinders' nutty inventor father, bungling bailiffs, amiable "Buttons", and of course a beautiful, but downtrodden Cinderella, it has all the ingredients necessary for a traditional pantomime.
Auditions are held in the Olympus Hall at The Concorde Club.

Cast List
Cinderella - Daughter of Baron Hardup. Principal girl. A nice, pretty, young woman who is sweet, kind, helpful and selfless.
Buttons - The Baron’s; servant. Cinderella’s best (and only) friend – although he has a secret (but unrequited) crush on her. A nice, friendly, helpful young man.
Baron Hardup - Cinderella's father. A rather absent-minded inventor who keeps coming up with potty inventions that rarely work properly.
Malethesant - The Baron's new wife and mother of the Ugly Sisters, and hence Cinderella's stepmother. She is wicked, callous and ruthless. She treats Cinders like a slave so that her daughters shall want for nothing. She is also a witch and uses her magic powers to further her tyrannical ambitions.
Ugly Sisters - Euthanasia & Asphyxia.; Pantomime dames (i.e. played by a man). The sisters are ugly on the inside as they are on the outside. Vain, selfish, egotistical, feisty & man-hungry. The squabble and bitch at each other constantly.
Prince Charming - Principal boy (i.e. traditionally played by a woman – but could be played by a young man).; Unhappy at having to marry because of his royal duty he’d much rather marry a woman who loves him for himself and not for his crown.
Dandini - The Prince’s faithful manservant.
Needs to be similar in build to the Prince, at the Prince’s instruction, they swap jackets and pretend to be each other.
Therefore, could also be a principal boy (i.e. played by a woman) or could be played by a young man).
Fairy Godmother - The good fairy. Well meaning, cheery and helpful – but slightly forgetful and gets things wrong occasionally. Is initially seen in disguise as an old woman gathering firewood.
The Broker’s “Men” - A pair of bungling bailiffs.; In practice either of them culd be male or female.
Scarper - The more savvy of the pair (which isn’t saying much); takes charge and keeps Stanley in check.
Snatchit - The dimmer of the pair.
