The Show
Where could you see lots of West End musicals without paying West End prices? At the Concorde Players' production "West End & Broadway" - and all for only a fiver! The cabaret style show featured hits from the hottest of the musicals that have graced the stages of London and New York over the last 10-15 years (with a sprinkling of timeless classics for good measure).
It included over 30 songs and dances from around 20 different musicals including Les Miserables, Sunset Boulevard, Blood Brothers, Evita, La Cage Aux Folles, Chess, Rocky Horror, Miss Saigon, Phantom Of the Opera, Anything Goes, Starlight Express, Grease and many more.
The group recreated the staging of the original shows - costumes, set, props and dialogue etc. - so the effect for the audience was like a greatest hits compilation video; but performed live before their very eyes and ears.
